Movement in Ruined Structures
Buildings (areas) have a structural
rating of 1 to 10. 1 being ready to collapse into rubble, and 10
being completely structurally sound.
PCs moving through a structurally
unsound building roll an INT ability roll to safely navigate the
ruins. If the PC is moving at normal speed or faster the roll is
made every 10'. If the PC is moving at half speed the roll occurs
upon entering a new area/room (or every 30' to 50'). If the PC
fails the INT ability roll the ML rolls a 1d10 collapse roll. If
the collapse roll is greater than the building's structural rating
there is a collapse. Collapse roll minus structural rating =
collapse power.
The area effected by the collapse is
the PCs square and collapse power times 5' radius.
Everyone in the collapse area rolls a
DEX ability roll (penalized by collapse power) to escape. Failure
means they were injured in the collapse. Damage = (1d10 per
collapse power) x structure size factor. Structure size factor is
determined by the ML (shack=1, 2 story house = 3 to 5, skyscraper =
30+, possibly number of floors?). Each PC must also save vs Stun
or be knocked out (1d6 min per damage taken).
Collapse Special Effects table
01-20
Trapped in a pocket in the rubble. Buried, but
only takes 1d10 damage. Still has to save vs Stun or be knocked
out. Length of unconsciousness and the amount of rubble the PC is
buried under is determined by the collapse damage calculated normally.
21-65
Damage as normal. PC is not buried.
66-80
Damage as normal. Random limb is disabled for
1d20 days. PC is not buried.
81-90
Damage as normal. PC is buried. Rubble
pile on PC has HP equal to damage caused. PCs outside the rubble
pile can clear rubble at a rate of 1 + STR bonus per minute (Increased
STR adds +9). Buried PCs clear rubble at that rate per 10 min.
91-95
Damage as normal. PC is buried. Random
limb is disabled.
96-100
Damage as normal. PC is buried. Random
limb is disabled. PC takes additional falling damage. PC
falls 1d10x10% of maximum potential fall. 1D6 dam per 10' (20d6
max).
